Join us on the the 31st of October for a degustation dinner with John Hancock and Warren Gibson. John Hancock is founding Winemaker and co-owner of Trinity Hill. He is highly regarded in the industry and considered one of the most innovative winemakers in New Zealand. John will be joined on the night by Chief Winemaker Warren. Both he and John previously worked together in the Nineties at Morton Estate and have since renewed their working relationship at Trinity Hill.
The dinner will be held at Stafford Road Wine Bar with 5 courses to be matched with the Black Label Gimblett Gravels wines. We will be looking closely at the Marsanne Viognier, Chardonnay, Syrah and Bordeaux Blend. But the big star of the night will be the first showing of the 2014 Homage Syrah. Arguably New Zealand’s greatest Syrah and at $130 a bottle the most expensive. It already has a perfect 100 point score to its name and will certainly be a real highlight of the night.
